RENEE COOPER, ESQ. – Commercial Division Manager
Prior to relocating “back home” to Michigan in 2009, Ms. Cooper was an Associate with a respected Georgia creditor’s rights firm where her practice focused primarily on bankruptcy litigation and residential and commercial real estate transactions. In 2008, Ms. Cooper joined The Stillman Law Group, practicing in commercial litigation. After owning and operating her own company for four years, she joined the Commercial Operations Team at Title Connect as Commercial Counsel in 2016.
A 1998 graduate of Western Michigan University (in Criminal Justice and Sociology), she obtained her law degree from the New England School of Law in 2004. Ms. Cooper is an active member of the State Bar of Michigan, American Bar Association, the Oakland County Bar Association, and the Huron Valley Chamber of Commerce.
JAMES B. CASAGRANDE, ESQ. – Sr.V. President/ General Counsel
He has been involved in the title insurance industry for 35 years, including 24 years as an agent. Jim spent 22 years as Executive Vice President and Shareholder of a large metro Detroit title company. he joined Title Connect LLC in 2010 with a concentration on underwriting and commercial transactions. He also has 11 years experience with national underwriting and Regional Counsel. Jim is a graduate or the University of Illinois and the University of Illinois College of Law.
TIMOTHY CLARKE, ESQ. – Underwriting Counsel
Tim has been involved in the title industry for nearly twenty years. He joined Title Connect in 2020 as Underwriting Counsel. Prior to joining Title Connect, he served, most recently as Vice President and Underwriting Counsel with a large, national title insurance company underwriting transactions from multi-million, multi-site commercial transactions to single site, local and residential transactions; and he also served a variety of functions in the Claims Department handling and supervising claims across the county and in Canada. Prior to moving in-house with a title insurance company, he was a partner in a law firm that focused on insurance coverage and state and federal litigation throughout the Midwest.
He is a graduate of Central Michigan University and Thomas M. Cooley Law School and an active member of the State Bar of Michigan and Real Property Law Section.
JEFF GUNSBERG – Principal/V.President of Marketing
Has worked in the Title Insurance Industry for 13 years and prior to that, was a Loan Consultant for a period of 4 years. As a Loan Consultant, Jeff has handled transactions from the time of application to the time of closing which allowed him to gain knowledge and implement systems for efficiency. Jeff is a Principal Partner & Director of Business Development at Title Connect and Manages a sales force of 10. During Jeff’s time in the Title Insurance Industry he has become a leading producer and most recently, a State Accredited Educator. He is a very well rounded individual with a vast knowledge of the Real Estate Industry, which enables him to assist clients with a large effectively and efficiently.
WALTER QUILLICO, ESQ – Principal/President
Graduated from Detroit College of Law in 1985. In house litigation/claim counsel from 1986 – 1995 and State Agency Manager from 1990 – 1995 for Lawyers Title Insurance Corporation from 1986 – 1995. Joined Stewart Title in 1995 as State Counsel and then accepted the position of District Manger for the State of Michigan in 1996 to 2001. President of Stewart Title of Detroit from 1997 – 2001. District Manager for Asset Preservation Incorporated, a 1031 tax exchange company, from 1999-2001. Has been providing underwriting for commercial and residential title insurance coverage for 35 years. Worked with several mortgage and real estate companies, from 2001 to the current date, assisting them in the formation of affiliated title insurance agencies. Formed Home Title Connect d/b/a Title Connect LLC in 2004 and currently serves as President of that company. Served as President of the Michigan Land Title Association in 2004-2005. An active member of the American Land Title Association and the State Bar of Michigan.
